Job Summary:
The Utility Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of utility systems, including electrical power, diesel generators, steam boilers, and air compressors. Reporting to the Utility Engineer, the successful candidate will organize, manage, and motivate the team to address electrical maintenance issues and ensure uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance & Operation:
  • Maintain and operate diesel generators, steam boilers, and air compressors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including electrical panels and faulty electrical cards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on utility equipment.
• Team Management:
  • Organize and motivate the utility team to meet maintenance targets and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Prepare reports on utility operations and maintenance for the Utility Engineer.
• Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all maintenance activities.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to equipment and personnel.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Qualification: OND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proven expertise in the maintenance and operation of diesel generators, steam boilers, and air compressors.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and the ability to install electrical panels.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing faulty electrical components.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong organizational and team management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
