We are seeking a passionate and driven Coffee Ambassador to join our team in Nigeria. This role is pivotal in launching and growing our coffee business, driving market expansion, and delivering exceptional coffee experiences to customers.
Job Summary:
The Coffee Ambassador will be responsible for acquiring new outlets, engaging customers, and delivering barista training to ensure high-quality coffee experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong business development skills, a passion for coffee, and the ability to drive sales and profitability in the Away-from-Home (AFH) channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Market Expansion:
- Present the coffee offering to potential new outlets, showcasing product range and professional coffee-making techniques.
- Create a sales pipeline of potential new outlets based on coffee segmentation guidelines.
- Drive market development in the assigned area, achieving key business indicators (KBIs) such as volume, growth, and revenue.
- Customer Engagement & Training:
- Engage customers by delivering barista training and ensuring high-quality coffee experiences.
- Provide basic technical support for coffee equipment, including setup and adjustments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Contract Management & Negotiation:
- Oversee contract negotiation, signing, and renewal processes with sales channel teams.
- Ensure clear communication between customers and internal stakeholders, including marketing, coffee experts, and technical services.
- Sales & Financial Management:
- Manage the budget within agreed guidelines, ensuring responsible allocation of DME, CAPEX, and repairs/maintenance of equipment and POS materials.
- Monitor customer satisfaction through key KBIs and implement improvements as needed.
- Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform sales strategies.
- Provide regular updates on market development, sales performance, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field.
- Certifications: Certification in Barista Skills, Coffee Brewing, or Coffee Business Management is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in coffee sales, business development, or AFH channel activation.
- Proven experience in launching or expanding a coffee brand in Nigeria.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen and negotiation expertise.
- On-Trade activation experience.
