We are seeking a talented and driven Salesforce Engineer to join our Business Systems team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge business systems, including Salesforce and NetSuite, and deliver first-class solutions to support Canonical’s global operations.


Job Summary:
The Salesforce Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining engineering solutions within Salesforce, NetSuite, and other business systems. This role requires a strong technical background, a passion for process efficiency, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional business systems experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Development & Maintenance:
    • Develop and implement engineering solutions in Salesforce, NetSuite, and other business systems.
    • Collaborate with colleagues on business specifications, technical designs, and code reviews.
  2. Process Improvement & Innovation:
    • Identify opportunities to improve engineering quality and process efficiency.
    • Develop and evangelize best practices for engineering and organizational processes.
  3. Collaboration & Mentorship:
    • Work closely with operations teams to implement and optimize business processes.
    • Mentor and coach team members, providing career development feedback and guidance.
  4. Compliance & Security:
    • Ensure systems remain compliant with business and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement security best practices to protect business data and systems.
  5. Learning & Development:
    • Continuously learn Canonical’s business processes and systems to deliver tailored solutions.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in business systems engineering.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or other CRM/ERP systems.
    • Strong track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
    • Ability to work in a distributed team environment and travel internationally twice a year.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with performance engineering and security.
  • Background in accounting, sales, sales operations, or other business roles.
