Job Summary:
As an Exploration Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in designing and executing exploration strategies, conducting subsurface analysis, and identifying new hydrocarbon reserves. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and collaborating with a highly skilled team, you will contribute to the company’s growth and success in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Exploration Strategy:
   • Design and implement exploration plans that align with technical and operational objectives.
   • Identify and evaluate new exploration prospects to support the company’s growth goals.
2. Subsurface Analysis:
   • Conduct detailed geological and geophysical studies to assess potential hydrocarbon reserves.
   • Interpret seismic data, well logs, and other subsurface information to evaluate exploration opportunities.
3. Technology Utilization:
   • Use advanced exploration software (e.g., Petrel, GeoFrame) to enhance data interpretation and analysis.
   • Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies in exploration geology.
4. Risk Assessment:
   • Identify geological risks and develop mitigation strategies to optimize exploration outcomes.
   • Ensure exploration activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
5. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including drilling, reservoir, and technical planning teams.
   • Foster a collaborative environment to achieve exploration and production goals.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
   • Prepare comprehensive exploration reports, maps, and recommendations for senior management.
   • Maintain accurate records of exploration activities and findings.
7. Project Management:
   • Oversee exploration projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
   • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Petroleum Geosciences is an added advantage.
• Experience: 8–12 years of experience in exploration geology or geophysics within the oil and gas industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in geological and geophysical interpretation.
  • Hands-on experience with seismic interpretation and subsurface data analysis.
  • Competence in exploration software such as Petrel or GeoFrame.
  • Expertise in seismic acquisition and processing.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to innovate and adapt to advanced exploration technologies.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
