We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Manager to join our team in Lagos. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s financial stability, operational efficiency, and reputation.

Job Summary:
The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the company’s operations, financial performance, and reputation. This role involves developing and implementing risk management policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a risk-aware culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Identification & Assessment:
   • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework.
   • Conduct risk assessments across all departments to identify potential threats to business continuity.
   • Analyze financial, operational, legal, and strategic risks to provide actionable insights.
2. Risk Mitigation & Control:
   • Design and execute risk mitigation strategies to minimize business exposure.
   • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with risk management policies.
   • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls, updating strategies as needed.
3. Reporting & Documentation:
   • Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management and board members.
   • Maintain accurate records of risk incidents, assessments, and mitigation actions.
   • Provide recommendations to enhance risk management policies and procedures.
4. Crisis Management & Business Continuity Planning:
   • Develop and oversee business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
   • Lead incident response efforts during crises to minimize disruptions.
   • Conduct risk awareness training programs to promote a risk-conscious culture.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Governance:
   • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
   • Liaise with regulatory agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders on risk-related matters.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and legislative changes that may impact the business.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CRISC, CRM, FRM, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the manufacturing or FMCG sector.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment tools, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement risk management strategies.
