Job Title: Sustainability Lead
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Seniority Level: Non-management
Function: Operations
Reports To: Sustainability Operations Manager WCA
What You Will Be Accountable For
- To manage the WCA ESG agenda, acting as a SPOC and supporting the EH&S team in ensuring all the initiatives & projects
- Drive ESG master plan, alignment, and prioritization
- To guarantee all the initiatives & journey maps are aligned with the environmental performance glidepaths
- Manage External sustainability certifications
- Manage the collection of best practices and reapplication plan
- Work with stakeholders to implement the BAT Nigeria ESG strategy and align with Global ESG agenda
- Manage all governance compliance and statutory requirements
- Drive validation on all ESG executed project against business case justification
- Provide ESG visibility and tracking of ESG KPI
- Initiate and drive where necessary, various management initiative to ensure compliance and certification of our processes with relevant standards and best practices.
- Conducting site audits/inspections and ESG analysis/ assessments to determine if ESG standards are being met.
- Manage sustainability reporting and data analysis
- Coordinate the effective, accurate and timely global EHS & ESG reporting for the cluster as required by the global and regional team
- Conduct and coordinate training sessions for employees, contractors and visitors when required by, or as applicable toward, company operations and needs
- Provide daily guidance and direction in ESG programs at the employee / contractor level to ensure a common and effective approach
- Maintain and update as needed SOP’s for all safe work practices and equipment
- Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors are aware of all ESG agenda and appropriate plans and actions are implemented
Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Engineering Degree / Diploma or equivalent professional qualifications
- Effective communication skills to influence personnel at all levels in the company.
- A minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role, preferably in an international/ FMCG environment or manufactory industry
- Good knowledge of relevant computer systems & programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Project management skills
